Let’s talk about making money selling tracksuits on eBay. Yep, I’m talking about the ones you can find in thrift stores.
I recently wrote a post about reselling vintage windbreaker jackets on eBay, but now we’re going to discuss selling the entire tracksuit.
If you can find a nice, vintage tracksuit jacket, that’s great, but if you’re lucky enough to find the complete suit with the matching pants and jacket, you’re in to make bank by reselling it on eBay.
The first tracksuit I found was a bright purple and black vintage Nike suit. It had the color block pattern and the big Nike logo. The purple really stood out. Most items nowadays I list as “Buy it Now”, but this one I listed as a 5-day auction because I wasn’t exactly sure how much it was worth.
To my surprise, it sold for around $75. I couldn’t believe it! And I’ve been buying and reselling these tracksuits ever since.
Here are some examples on eBay if found using a completed listings search, just to give you an idea of what they’re selling for:
Examples of vintage Tracksuits for sale on eBay

As you can see at first glance, these tracksuits are highly profitable. Another good thing is that they are very common in most thrift stores, too.
I can almost always find ones of the jackets every time I go thrift shopping, but I find the complete tracksuit very often as well.
Common brands to look for:
- Nike
- Adidas
- Reebok
- Polo
Sport Ralph Lauren - Tommy Hilfiger
- Kappa
- Nautica
- Lacoste
- Fila
- Puma
- Lavon
- Champion
- Bold Spirit
Although there are definitely more profitable brands out there, these are a few that I have found in the past. I’d say the ones I find most often are Nike, Adidas, and Reebok.
