You can make really nice profits on eBay by reselling denim jackets from thrift stores.

That’s right. You know the old ones that you probably skip right past? Yep, those are probably selling for a lot of money and you didn’t even know it.

I came across a really old (vintage) looking denim jacket one time and finally gave in and decided to look up the prices of the completed listings. It wasn’t until then that I discovered how profitable these jackets were to resell.

I will say, though, that these are a little more difficult to resell than other items because they are generally larger in size, heavier, and harder to ship. But it’s worth it at the end of the day because you can still turn a good enough profit flipping denim jackets from thrift stores.

I don’t know why but I feel like most people skip right past these in thrift stores, and I catch myself wanting to do the same. Why is that? Is it because denim possibly isn’t quite as stylish as it once was?

Who knows.

Either way, they’re popular for someone out there because these things sell. And very well, too!

Clearly, just from a few of the samples in the picture, you can see how much money there is to be made off of the pre-owned jackets.

Find the vintage ones and you’re set to turn a very nice profit.

What are the popular vintage brands to look for?

Although there are lots of potentially profitable brands, here are just a few of the top sellers off the top of my head:

  1. Levi’s
  2. Carhartt
  3. Sear Roebucks
  4. Polo Ralph Lauren
  5. Tommy Hilfiger
  6. Wrangler
  7. Lee
  8. Guess

Tips for reselling denim jackets on eBay:

1. Look it up.

And by that, I mean check the completed listings for prices. When you come across one that grabs your attention, even if it’s a brand you’ve never heard of. Go ahead and look it up. You never know, it could be worth hundreds of dollars.

2. Stick to vintage.

The newer model denim jackets do not tend to sell for near as much. Vintage is where it’s at. Buyers lover the older models.

3. Denim shirts.

They sell very well too. Just throwing that out there. So if you find a vintage shirt aat the thrift store, that’s a very good find as well.

Vintage denim jacket super sellers:

Even though these are extremely rare, check out the prices of these super sellers. They’re out there somewhere, we just have to find them.

Final thoughts

So now you know that you can turn some very nice profits reselling denim jackets on eBay. And they are actually a lot more common in thrift stores than you would think. I know I used to skip right past them but not anymore. I buy up as many as I can. Remember, though, stick with the vintage jackets. Happy thifting!
